Bhubaneswar: As many as 393 children were identified as living on streets in Odisha, informed Women and Child Development Minister Basanti Hembram on Saturday.
Hembram stated this in a written reply to a query of BJD MLA Prafulla Samal in the Odisha Assembly.
Out of the 393 children, the highest 305 children were identified in Khordha district followed by 30 in Jajpur district.
The State Government have adopted various measures with the involvement of local machinery for the rehabilitation of such children, said Hembram.
