Bhubaneswar: A total of 4,57,681 women across Odisha will receive financial support under the Subhadra scheme this week, informed Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida today.
Speaking to media, Deputy CM Parida said, “Out of the total beneficiaries, 1,78,398 are new beneficiaries, 2,55,265 are women who were earlier excluded but have now been re-included after verification, and 24,018 beneficiaries were added after grievance hearings. All these beneficiaries will receive financial assistance under the flagship scheme, and the amount will be credited to them within the current week. A total of Rs 250 crore will be disbursed as financial assistance.”
It is pertinent to mention that under the Subhadra scheme, each eligible woman is entitled to receive Rs 10,000 per year, disbursed in two equal instalments of Rs 5,000 each, providing financial support over the course of the year.
