Dhenkanal: In a significant breakthrough, Dhenkanal Town Police on Sunday arrested four persons in connection with a burglary case.
The accused have been identified as Milu Naik, Lipu Naik, Tapu Naik, and Munu Naik, in connection with Town P.S. Case No. 718 dated 08.10.2025 under Sections 331(4)/305 BNS.
According to police, the accused carried out a peculiar act of preparing and consuming Maggi inside the house they had burglarised. They were also found to have stolen brinjals from the kitchen garden.
Further investigations revealed that the quartet was involved in several other burglary incidents in the area.
Police recovered a range of stolen items from the accused, including gold ornaments weighing 154 grams, silver ornaments weighing 910 grams, a Samsung 80 cm LED TV, five mobile phones, Rs 5,000 in cash, a hair dryer, six fans, and Hexa blades.
The Dhenkanal Town Police have assured strict action against the accused and urged citizens to report any suspicious activities promptly.
