Koraput/Bhubaneswar: At least four persons died due to drowning in separate incidents across the State after playing Holi.
Two youths were drowned to death while bathing in river Indravati after playing Holi. They have been identified as Jagannath Mahapatra and Ankush Nayak of Kotpad.
While Fire Service personnel rescued them after a hectic search, they were rushed to the hospital where the attending doctor declared them dead.
Similarly, another youth died after drowning in Nua Koruan ghat of river Mahanadi near Biribati in Cuttack district.
Besides, a youth identified as Shatrughana Behera drowned in a pond while bathing after playing Holi at Haridagotha in Keonjhar.
