43382 Odisha Beneficiaries Vaccinated Today; 28597 Senior Citizens

Bhubaneswar: The State today inoculated 43382 beneficiaries registered for the Covid-19 vaccine that include immunization of 28597 senior citizens (persons with 60 years of age and above) and 1659 persons with comorbidities as well as aged between 45 and 59 years of age.

As per the 6 PM Report released by the State Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, those beneficiaries were today vaccinated at 351 active sites out of which Covaxin was administered at 38 session sites.

As per today’s vaccination data, 1013 health care workers (HCWs) received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine registering an achievement of 81% while 10083 HCWs got vaccinated with the mandatory second dose and registered an achievement of 99%.

Similarly, 2030 front line workers (FLWs) got vaccinated today and the exercise registered an achievement of 97%.

The H&FW Department’s report also stated that not a single Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) was registered today from across the State’s vaccination centres.

The Cumulative figure till date goes:

HCW (1st dose): 302841(90 %)
HCW (2nd dose): 198592 (84.5%)
FLW (1st dose): 171203 (76%)
Beneficiaries aged 45 to 59 years of age with comorbidities: 6383
Senior Citizens (60 years & above): 139934
Total Vaccinated till date: 818953
