Bhubaneswar: Alliance Air in collaboration with the State Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) is going to run a special flight for differently-abled children on January 22.
As per an official communiqué, 44 children, including 21 girls and 23 boys along with 21 escorts will be boarding a flight of Alliance Air at Bhubaneswar Airport on the said date. The said flight will fly over Bhubaneswar air space for a duration of 40 minutes.
This special flight will give them the opportunity to experience the joy of flying and increase their aspirations. Prior to boarding the flight, there will be a celebration at the Bhubaneswar Airport adding on to the excitement of the children followed by a special performance by children.
The children are from Bhubaneswar and Baripada and are of age group between 9 years and 18 years. It is worthwhile to mention that alliance air has earlier taken underprivileged women for a special flight but it’s the first time for special children.
