45-Year-Old Man Dies Of Electric Shock In Mayurbhanj

Baripada: A 45-year-old man died of electric shock while using an electric water pump to lift water at Banakoti village under Suleipat outpost limits of Badampahar police station today.

The deceased man has been identified as Birendra Mahanta.

According to reports, Mahanta received a severe electric shock while lifting water using an electric pump in the afternoon today. He was rushed to the Sub Divisional Hospital at Rairangpur by his family members in critical condition. However, attending doctors at the hospital declared him dead.

On being informed Suleipat Outpost In Charge has launched an investigation into the matter, registered a case of unnatural death and seized the body for post-mortem.
