Angul: The body of a 45-year-old man was recovered from a mandap near Durgapar chowk under Jarpada police limits today morning.
The deceased was identified as Sagar Pradhan who had gone to Durgapur to see ‘Danda Nacha’ festival. While returning, Pradhan slept off on the village mandap.
His body was spotted by the villagers today morning. There was blood all around and the body had severe injury marks, they said.
Jarpada police have registered a case and detained a person for interrogation. The motive behind the crime is suspected to be political rivalry. said sources.
