5-Day Weather Forecast: Odisha To Witness Thunderstorms And Rain

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph in several districts of Odisha for the next five days.

Here’s a breakdown of the forecast for the next five days:

Day 1 (June 7-8):

Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangapur, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.

Day 2 (June 8-9):

Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada.

Day 3 (June 9-10):

Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput.

Day 4 (June 10-11):

Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam and Gajapati.

Day 5 (June 11-12):

Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri.

The IMD has also issued a weather forecast for Odisha, predicting hot and humid conditions in various districts over the next few days.

Here’s a breakdown of the forecast:

Day 1 (June 7-8)

Hot and humid weather conditions are likely to occur at one or two places over districts like Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

 Day 2 (June 8-9)

Hot and humid weather conditions are likely to occur at one or two places over districts like Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

 Day 3 (June 9-10)

Hot and humid weather conditions are likely to occur at one or two places over districts like Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

Residents are advised to be aware of the weather conditions and take necessary precautions.
