Sundargarh: In a major accident, five people were killed and two others critically injured when a Hyva truck crushed an auto-rickshaw at Telendihi under Sundargarh police limits in Odisha on Sunday.
According to reports, the accident occurred when seven people from Bagichapada were going for a picnic by the auto-rickshaw.
So far, the rescuers could recover three bodies, while efforts are on to get the two other bodies from under the truck.
The auto-rickshaw was completely mangled as the truck almost climbed over it. Even the killer truck overturned after the accident.
JCB machines were engaged to separate the two vehicles and rescue the dead as well as the injured.
