Keonjhar: Five precious lives were lost in a fatal road accident at the Rimuli bypass under Champua police limits in Keonjhar district on Wednesday.
According to reports, at about 9.00 PM today a car going towards Barbil rammed into a truck parked on the roadside from behind on Rimuli bypass. Another truck coming from behind hit the car. In the process, the car was squeezed between the two trucks killing five of its occupants.
On being informed by the locals, Champua police reached the spot. Fire Service personnel are using cutters to retrieve the bodies from the mangled remains of the car.
Traffic has come to a standstill on the Rimuli bypass. The deceased are said to be residents of Barbil and were returning home when the accident occurred.
