5 Lives Lost In Road Mishaps Across Odisha

Jajpur/ Balasore: As many as five persons were killed and several others sustained critical injuries in separate road mishaps across the State on Monday.

In Jajpur’s Barachana area, the driver and helper of a truck were killed on the spot after the vehicle they were travelling in hit a trawler carrying iron rods. In Balasore’s Jaleswar area, two persons were killed and four others were critically injured after the ambulance they were travelling in lost control and hit a truck near Laxmannath tollgate.

As per reports, the ambulance was carrying a patient from West Bengal and was en route to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The injured person were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.  

In Cuttack, one person was killed and another was injured after the four-wheeler they were travelling in was hit by a truck near Tangi tollgate on National Highway-16.
