Bhubaneswar: Addressing the people of the State on the occasion of his birthday Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that he was getting a very popular feedback on ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme. People of Odisha have urged the Naveen to continue Mo Sarkar initiative and extend it to all Departments.
“Let me assure the people of Odisha that Mo Sarkar as an empowerment initiative will be further strengthened. It will be extended to five more Departments by December 1, and by March 2020, Mo Sarkar will cover all Departments of the Government,” he said.
State Government’s endeavour is to setup one medical college in each of the erstwhile undivided districts. In this context Naveen announced that a Government Medical College and Hospital would be setup at District Headquarter Hospital in Phulbani. The number of beds would be increased to 500 for the aforesaid purpose and a composite campus would be planned.
Based on the feedback of senior officials who recently toured the district hospitals, the Chief Minister has approved the following infrastructure projects:
All district hospitals to have attendant rest sheds;
Rs 15 lakh to all Rogi Kalyan Samitis from Chief Minister Relief Fund for patient welfare and innovations;
Rs 10 lakh each to Nuapada, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Boudh for promotion of blood donation activities.
This apart, the Chief Minister announced:
For Boudh District Hospital –
Jail land to be handed over in one month and that would be utilised for a new 200-bedded district hospital.
Team will be sent to Harbhanga Block to study the chronic kidney disease.
One ambulance and one hearse (Mahaparayana) vehicles.
Nayagarh District Hospital –
Bed strength increased to 250;
New additional building for 100 beds at District Hospital.
Two ambulances and one Mahaparayan vehicles.
Kalahandi District Hospital –
New building for additional 100 beds.
Three ambulances and two Mahaparayan vehicles.
Rayagada District Hospital –
Water supply and staff quarters at community health centre in Kashipur.
Four ambulances and one mahaparayana vehicles.
Nuapada District Hospital –
One ambulance and one mahaparayana vehicles.
