Berhampur: The Additional District & Sessions Judge -1, Berhampur on Thursday sentenced five of a family to life imprisonment.
The court pronounced the sentence in its verdict on the 2013 double murder at Jagannathpur village under Patapur police limits of Ganjam district.
The court awarded life imprisonment to Bhagaban Swain, Saroj Swain, Amin Swain, Kartik Swain and Dhanu Swain after convicting them of murder.
On December 28, 2013, Gula Swain and his son Rajiv Swain were murdered near the village pond in Jagannathpur village. Patapur police had arrested eight persons in connection with this incident.
