Bhubaneswar: Five stations in Odisha today recorded temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius and above with Boudh being the hottest with 41.0 degrees Celsius.
The other places that recorded 40 degrees Celsius and above are Sonepur (40.4), Talcher (40.2), Baripada (40.0) and Angul (40.7).
Similarly, eight stations in the State recorded maximum day temperatures of 39 degrees-Jharsuguda (39.6), Sambalpur (39.7), Sundargarh (39.5), Bolangir (39.0), Titilagarh (39.0), Malkangiri (39.0), Nayagarh (39.0) and Paralakhemundi (39.0).
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack respectively registered 37.2 degrees Celsius and 36.5 degrees Celsius.
