Bhubaneswar: On Tuesday, five places in Odisha recorded temperature 40 degrees Celcius and above.
According to the data shared by the Bhubaneswar Centre of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Jharsuguda was the hottest at 41.2 degrees.
The other four stations which recorded maximum temprature of 40 degrees or above are: Angul (40.1), Sambalpur (40.8), Hirakud (40.6) and Boudh (40.0).
Bhubaneswar, Baripada and Sonepur recorded the maximum (daytime) temprature of 39.6 degrees Celcius, the IMD informed.
Today, Paradip, Puri and Gopalpur recorded lowest maximum temprature of 31.8, 32.8 and 33 degrees Celcius.
