5-Year-Old Boy Killed Allegedly In Wall Collapse In Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: A 5-year-old boy died allegedly after wall collapsed on him due to heavy rain induced by low pressure at Bhatipada under Chandahandi block in Nabarangpur district.

The minor boy is the son of Duryan Bag of Bhatipada.

Duryan, his wife and minor son were living in a kutcha house. Due to heavy rain for the last two days, the wall collapsed on his son leaving him seriously injured.

Local people rescued him and immediately admitted him to Chandahandi Community Health Center with the help of ‘108’ ambulance for treatment. Later, the boy was shifted to Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Doctor said that blood was spilling from the ear and blood clot was also detected in his head.

After receiving the information, Tehsildar Sahadeva Kutruka, ARI Anant Sinna reached and started an inquiry. Local BDO Ramakrushna Nayak also visited the spot and promised to provide dry food and shelter under Awas scheme to the family
