Koraput: As many as 50 cattle were killed when a mini truck overturned on the road connecting Jeypore in Koraput’s Kotpad block and Ghumar panchayat.
The incident occurred near Ghumar panchayat, prompting fire department personnel to rush to the scene and begin rescue operations.
However, tension ran high in the locality as members of the Go Rakhyaka outfit staged a protest, demanding action against those responsible for cattle trafficking.
The exact number of cattle killed is yet to be confirmed.
