Bargarh: On the occasion of birth anniversaries of two great stalwarts of India’s freedom struggle-Veer Surendra Sai and Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, farmers’ organisations from 10 western Odisha districts organised a convention opposing the three new controversial farm laws of the Central government here today.
The convention expressed solidarity with the ongoing farmers’ agitation in Delhi.
Members of the farmer organisations took out a massive rally in support of the farmers’ agitation in Delhi.
“It was decided at the convention to send a delegation of 50 farmers from western Odisha to Delhi to take part in the tractor parade to be held there on January 26,” informed farmer leader Lingaraj.
The convention which was organized at the Gandhi Chowk here was attended by the members of Jay Kisan Andolan, Bargarh; Paschim Odisha Krushak Sangathan Samanway Samiti,Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sangharsh Samanway Samiti, etc.
