Bhubaneswar: Odisha has 51 steel plants and 12 more new steel plants are in the pipeline.
This was informed by Steel & Mines Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallick in a written reply to a query by MLA Dhruba Charan Sahoo in the State Assembly today.
The upcoming steel plants are JSW Utkal Steel Ltd, Shree Hari Sponge Pvt Ltd, Agrasen Sponge Pvt Ltd, Jindal India Ltd, Beekay Utkal Steel Industries Ltd, Orissa Metaliks Ltd, GM Iron & Steel Company Pvt Ltd, BR Sponge and Power Ltd, LN Metallics Ltd, Jindal Steel Odisha Ltd, and Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India Ltd, the Minister further informed.
