Bhubaneswar: A total of 53,000 teacher posts will be filled up in government schools in the state, informed School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash in the Odisha Assembly today.
Dash said that process for recruitment of 2026 teachers has started.
Similarly, the process has started for recruitment of 2064 posts of clerks, Dash added.
He said that for the construction of additional classrooms in high schools, the Panchayati Raj Department has made a provision of Rs 280 crore in the Budget.
The Minister told that a budget of Rs 805.14 crore has been allocated under Mo School Abhiyan. Similarly, the School and Mass Education Department has a budgetary allocation of Rs 578 crore for different purposes, he added.
