Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has made elaborate security arrangements for the road show of Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled on May 10 in Bhubaneswar.
Addressing the media on the security arrangement, twin city police commissioner Sanjeev Panda said that 55 platoons of forces will be deployed to ensure the smooth event of the Prime Minister.
Modi will hold the roadshow from Ram Mandir Square to Vani Vihar on May 10 evening.
The security has been arranged as per MHA’s blue book rules, Panda said.
Drone flying has been prohibited over Master canteen-Vani vihar route to be taken by the PM. The SPG has directed the police to ensure the no-fly zone.
The security will be overseen by five DCP rank officers and 10 additional DCP rank officers.
The security forces also include 27 ACPs and 41 Inspectors, Panda added. Anti-bomb squad, and sniper dogs will also be mobilised, Panda informed.
After the road-show on May 10, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hold public rallies Kandhamal, Bargarh and Bolangir on the next day.
