Bhubaneswar: Total 55 persons recovered from COVID-19 in Odisha on Wednesday. According to the data shared by the Health and Family Welfare Department, 34 of them are from Khordha while the rest are from Cuttack, Balasore, Bolangir, Jagatsinghpur, and Sambalpur districts. Total 10 recoveries were from the State pool.
The total recovered cases of Odisha now stand at 12,79,849. However, with 100+ COVID-19 cases being reported over the last two days, Odisha’s active cases tally has breached the 500 mark today.
Total 161 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha on Tuesday, as per the report released today morning. The TPR has crossed 1% (1.20%) which means one sample in every 100 under examination has tested positive for COVID.
The good news is, that the cases are moderate infections and not that alarming. Yet precaution and preventives are a must, said health experts.
So far, 9,126 persons have died due to COVID in Odisha, as per the official report. Last, it was on April 4, 2022, two persons had succumbed to COVID in Odisha.
