Boudh: A 55-year-old man, Shraddhakar Kahar, died after being bitten by a venomous snake in Pabulipada village, under Ambajhari Gram Panchayat in Odisha’s Boudh district, early on Tuesday.

According to sources, Shraddhakar had gone to bed after dinner on Monday night. Around 5 a.m. the next morning, he alerted his family members that he had been bitten by a snake. The family rushed him to the Boudh District Headquarters Hospital, but doctors there declared him dead on arrival.

Following standard procedures, the Boudh police reached the hospital, seized the body, and conducted a post-mortem examination. The body was later handed over to the grieving family.

Locals have expressed concern over the tragic incident and have urged the government to provide financial assistance to the bereaved family as compensation for the loss.
