Bhubaneswar: One person was killed after an iron-laden truck hit another stationary truck at Chuna Ghati under K.blang police limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district late Tuesday night. The driver and helper of the second truck were trapped inside the vehicle.

While the driver of the iron-laden truck died on the spot, his vehicle was completely crushed.

According to reports, a truck loaded with iron ore suddenly broke down in Chunaghati. Consequently, the driver lost control of the wheel and the truck rammed against another truck in front of it and overturned.

On being informed, police and Fire Services personnel reached the spot and rescued the driver and the helper. However, the driver died on the spot while the helper was hospitalised in critical condition.
