Bhubaneswar: As per the decision of the third Heritage Cabinet held on December 19, three-day-long, first-of-its-kind ‘Biswa Odia Bhasa Sammilani’ will be held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar from February 3 to February 5.
In this connection 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian held a meeting to review the preparations for organising the ‘Biswa Odia Bhasa Sammilani’at the third floor conference hall of then Lok Seva Bhawan here today.
‘Akshar Bhoomi’ being prepared for the ‘Biswa Odia Bhasa Sammilani’ will be dedicated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the first day of the Sammilani.
On the occasion of the Sammilani a variety of competitions on Odia language will be organised in all schools/high schools/ colleges and universities.
As many as 16 sessions on important aspects of the language will be held during the Sammilani.
Apart from this, a special session will be organised for students of schools/high schools/colleges and universities.
The logo of the first Biswa Odia Bhasa Sammilani released by the Chief Minister will be displayed at prominent places on the walls of selected high schools and colleges.
The logo will be given to students of all schools and colleges and the Sammilani will be promoted by stickering on all government vehicles.
Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Secretary of Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department Sujata Rout Karthikeyan, other heads of departments and directors of various directorates were present in the said meeting.
