5T Secretary Pandian Pays Visit To OUAT, Reviews Infrastructure Development

Bhubaneswar: Secretary Transformation and Initiatives (5T) VK Pandian today paid an early morning visit to Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT) and its constituent colleges.

Pandian reached the second oldest agriculture college of the nation at about 6 am today and inspected the campus and various departments of the university. He was accompanied by Vice-Chancellor of OUAT Pavan Agarwal, Director of Basic Science College Bikash Chandra Panda and other officials.

He took stock the hostels and mess facilities inside OUAT campus. In addition, the team led by VK Pandian surveyed Basic Science College, College of Forestry, and College of Agriculture.

After inspection, the 5T Secretary discussed with the officials infrastructure development of the university. He stressed on the construction of new hostels and an equipped sports facility for the students.

VK Pandian also stressed on the importance of cleanliness of a hostel campus during his discussion with the officials.

Notably, before qualifying for the Civil Services, VK Pandian was adjudged the national topper of combined entrance examination for Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) Plant Science. He is known to have a special fondness for the Agriculture-related courses.

Transforming the State from root-level Private Secretary to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, VK Pandian has been paying surprise visits to district headquarters hospitals, schools, colleges, temples across Odisha to personally overview the infrastructure, management and subsequently facilitating development if necessary.
