5T Secretary Reviews Facilities At Bhadrak DHH, Eats Meal With Special Children

Bhadrak: Secretary Transformation and Initiatives (5T) VK Pandian paid a surprise visit to the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and reviewed the infrastructure and health care facilities.

Pandian examined the wards, interacted with the patients and took the feedback about the facilities being provided at the hospital.

He also met with an Indian Idol contestant, who is undergoing treatment at the hospital after meeting an accident, and assured that the government will bear his expenses.

Collector in Charge, Bhadrak, Shyama Bhakta Mishra said the patients have given positive feedback about the facilities available at the hospital. Pandian has assured to look into a proposal of the district administration regards the development of the parking space at the hospital.

The 5T Secretary was accompanied by Development Commissioner Suresh Mahapatra, National Health Mission (NHM) Director Shalini Pandit and hospital authorities. After the visit, Pandian chaired a meeting to review the progress on the works going on at the hospital.

Following it, Pandian visited the Centre for Rehabilitation Services & Research (CRSR) in the district and had his lunch with children with special needs residing there.

Secretary of CRSR, Dr Bhagban Parida informed that Pandian stayed for around 15 to 20 minutes at the centre and after having lunch with the children toured the physiotherapy clinic and artificial limbs preparation unit.

The 5T Secretary also enquired about the issues being faced by the rehabilitation centre and assured to sort it out. He inquired if the funds are released on time and while assuring to release advance funds for infrastructure development asked to submit the request in this regard.
