Berhampur: On the instructions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, 5T Secretary VK Pandian visited the famous temple of Budhi Thakurani in Berhampur on Sunday afternoon.
Sunday was the last day of the famous Budhi Thakurani Yatra of Berhampur. On this occasion, Pandian worshiped Goddess Budhi Thakurani and sought her blessings.
Later, the 5T secretary discussed the development of the temple with the temple committee and local representatives.
Budhi Thakurani temple is an ancient temple visited by hundreds of devotees every day. Therefore, it was decided to develop proper infrastructure for the convenience of the devotees. In this regard, Pandian advised the district administration to prepare a detailed plan within 15 days.
MP Chandrashekhar Sahu, Deputy Director Vikram Panda, Mayor of Berhampur, and State Planning Board Member Ramesh Chandra Patnaik participated in the discussion.
