60 More Adarsh Vidyalayas To Come Up In Odisha Next Year
**Bhubaneswar: ** After the successful launch of 100 Adarsh Vidyalayas in the State, Odisha Government is planning to come up with 60 more such Vidyalayas.
Briefing media, Debi Prasad Mishra, Minister, School and Mass Education said, “Over Rs 2,600 crore has been sanctioned by Odisha CM to set up one Adarsh Vidyalaya in each block. In the first phase, 100 such schools have already been executed and 60 more are to be executed in the upcoming years.”
He further said, “We have chalked out plans to set up girls’ hostels in 173 blocks along with it we are also planning on how to build both the girls’ and boys’ hostels in 314 also. 1700 more teacher personnel are to be recruited for this year.”
The Minister also informed that rule has been relaxed a bit for the appointment of Principal.
“Initially it had been minimum 5 years of experience as a principal, but taking into account the need, the necessary amendment has been made in the existing rule and it has made 5 years of administrative experience instead for the coveted post of the school,” he said.
