Bhubaneswar: Around 60% of villages in Odisha are yet to get piped water supply.
This was revealed by Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Pradip Amat in the Odisha Assembly on Tuesday while replying to a written question by Congress MLA from Balangir Narasingha Mishra.
Amat said that out of a total of 47,274 villages in the State 19,131 villages are being supplied with piped drinking water and projects to supply piped drinking water are underway at 28,143 villages.
