**Bhubaneswar:** The Commissionerate Police today arrested a 60-year-old man for allegedly raping a minor girl in Satya Nagar area here.
The accused has been identified as Ajay Barik and neighbour of the victim.
According to reports, the 7-year-old victim was alone on Sunday when the accused took advantage of the situation, got into the house and allegedly raped the girl. Later on, the girl narrated her ordeal when her parents were back home.
Following this, the parents filed a complaint at the Kharavela Nagar Police Station on Monday.
The police arrested the accused on Tuesday and sent him along with the victim for medical examination on Wednesday morning.
He was later forwarded to court and sent to jail.
