Bhubaneswar: Balasore police conducted multiple raids on illegal liquor manufacturing units and seized 6000 litres of illegally manufactured ID liquor in several areas of Balasore on Saturday.
A team headed by Sadar SDPO with Sadar IIC and Chandipur OIC carried out raids in Puruna Balasore area and seized 2300 litres of ID liquor with the destruction of 8000 litres of pocha in the wee hours of Saturday.
IIC Sadar and his team made a total seizure of 1100 litres of ID liquor. Similarly, IIC Soro and his team raided a hideout in Barikpur and seized 1200 litres of illegally manufactured liquor.
More than 6000 litres of ID liquor was seized by different teams of Balasore police in different areas in last 24 hours, police stated through a release.
