Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will disburse funds under the Subhadra Yojana in the sixth phase to eligible beneficiaries on April 24, announced Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida. The financial assistance, aimed at empowering women, will be provided during a special event in Puri on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Divas by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
Approximately 1.7 lakh women who applied by March 31 will receive two installments totaling Rs 10,000 each, directly transferred to their bank accounts. The Subhadra Yojana, a flagship initiative to support women’s financial independence, has already benefited millions across the state.
To date, 1.65 crore women have received the first installment, amounting to Rs. 5,032.93 crore, while 98.82 lakh women have received the second installment, totaling Rs. 4,941.04 crore. The scheme continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing economic security for women in Odisha.
