Bhubaneswar: As many as seven places in Odisha recorded a maximum temperature of more than 37°C on Tuesday even as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted 2 to 3°C during the next two days.
According to the evening bulletin of the regional centre of IMD, Malkangiri recorded the highest temperature (day temperature) of 38.3°C in the state followed by Titilagarh 37.5°C, Bolangir and Nayagarh 37.3°C each, and Bhawanipatna, Boudh & Paralakhemundi 37.0°C each.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded a maximum temperature of 34.8°C and 35.2°C respectively during the day.
The IMD in its forecast has said that there will be a gradual rise in maximum temperature (day temperature) by 2-3°C during the next two days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts in the State.
Similarly, minimum temperature (night temperature) will gradually rise by 2-3°C during the next 02-03 days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha, the IMD added.
