73rd State Police Athletics Championship 2025 Inaugurated In Cuttack

State Police Athletics Championship 2025

Bhubaneswar: The 73rd State Police Athletics Championship 2025 was inaugurated on Saturday at the Reserve Police Ground in Buxi Bazaar, Cuttack, by R.P. Koche, Director of Intelligence.

According to an official press release, a total of 797 athletes from 41 police teams across the state participated in the event, including 665 men and 132 women. The championship will run until February 25.

During the inauguration of the 73rd State Police Athletics Championship, Director of Intelligence R.P. Koche emphasized that sports foster a sense of camaraderie among participants.

He noted, “Sports championships enhance self-confidence, discipline, and dedication among police officers and employees.”

He further expressed his belief that the event would promote unity and good harmony among players from various levels—state, district, and range.

On this occasion, he also extended his gratitude to the State Director General of Police (DGP), Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, for organizing and overseeing the championship.

The event was also attended by several senior police officials, including DIAG (Central) Charan Singh Meena, DCP Cuttack Jagmohan Meena, 6th Battalion Commandant Suryanarayan Mallick, IG of Police (Personnel) S. Praveen Kumar, and AIG (Headquarters) Suresh Kumar Naik.
