Bhubaneswar: During the last five years, total 13,837 cases of domestic violence have been registered in Odisha, Minister of State for Home Department, Tusharkanti Behera said.
Responding to a question raised by Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati on violence against women, Behera said total 7,794 cases have been arrested in these cases of domestic violence.
The Congress MLA also sought a reply on the number of women who received legal assistance, to which the Minister responded by saying, “The data is being collected.”
