Bhubaneswar: A total of 78.6% of voter turnout was recorded in the third phase of Panchayat polls in Odisha held on Sunday, informed the State Election Commission (SEC) on Monday.
While the highest voter turnout of 87.44% was recorded in Subarnapur district, followed by 86.33% in Nabarangpur, the lowest turnout of 66.75% was recorded in Ganjam district.
It is worthwhile to mention that there were 18,945 booths across the State where voting was conducted for 171 Zilla Parishads, 1,382 Gram Panchayats, in 63 Blocks of 29 Districts, in the third phase polling.
