Python Rescued

Dhenkanal: An 8-foot-long python was rescued from the premises of Baba Chandrashekhar temple on Kapilash hill in Dhenkanal district today.

The python appeared on the last Monday of the holy month Sravana, which is auspicious for Shiva Devotees.  The reptile was rescued by the Dhenkanal Wildlife and Snake Rescue team from the Budha Linga temple in Kapilas. Some Bol Bom Devotees found the snake lying on the temple floor and immediately informed the temple priests and others.

The rescue team members reached the spot after receiving the information, rescued the snake and informed the Kapilas Forest Department. Suryakant Behera, a member of the rescue team, informed that the snake was rescued by the forest division at the scene and left in its natural habitat.
