Berhampur: Additional District Judge (I), Ganjam today sentenced eight persons to life imprisonment after convicting them in the 2017 Budu Patra murder case of Ambagada village under Berhampur Sadar police limits.
The Court sentenced R Hari Patra, R Lokanath Patra, M Danda Patra, K Bhim Patra, K Bairi Patra, N Somesh Patra, B Nai Patra, and R Bhaskar Patra to life imprisonment.
The ADJ (I) Court pronounced the sentence after going through the depositions of 19 witnesses and other evidence.
On September 18, 2017 Budu Patra was attacked by the convicted persons at Ambagada under Sadar police limits over past enmity he was admitted to MKCG Medical College & Hospital where he succumbed to his death injuries.
