Bhubaneswar: As many as 8 stations in Odisha recorded a maximum temperature of 38°C or above on Saturday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Talcher and Sambalpur recorded the day’s highest maximum temperature of 38.6°C.
Similarly, 20 stations in the state recorded a maximum temperature of 37°C.
The IMD has informed that Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum temperature of 38.5°C, Baripada 38°C, Jharsuguda 38.4°C, Sambalpur and Talcher 38.6°C, Sonepur 38.4°C, Boudh and Khordha 38°C.
Besides, Balasore, Chandbali, Cuttack, Angul, Sundargarh, Hirakud, Bolangir, Malkangiri, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, and Jagatsinghpur have recorded maximum temperatures of 37°C or more.
