Bhubaneswar: A total of eight students were caught for malpractice during the Second Language English paper of the High School Certificate (HSC) examination 2025 in Odisha on Monday.
The information was shared by the Vice President of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Nihar Ranjan Mohanty.
Speaking to the media, Mohanty said that students were generally happy with the English paper. After the exam, they shared that the questions were manageable, with only a few being slightly difficult. Overall, students felt confident and did not experience much pressure during the exam.
“We have detected and booked eight cases of malpractice,” said Mohanty.
He also mentioned that the Board is adding watermarks and QR codes to every question paper to conduct the exam in a fair manner and prevent cheating. For future exams, they plan to add Dynamic QR codes.
“A Dynamic QR code is not visible like a regular QR code. It will be placed in the question paper and when scanned, it will reveal details about the paper,” he explained.
