85,000 LED Bulbs In Place Of Conventional Street Light Bulbs InLast 3 Yrs: Odisha Minister

Bhubaneswar: On the completion of three years of BJD Government, Odisha Housing & Urban Development Minister Niranjan Pujari here on Tuesday claimed that 85,000 conventional street light bulbs have been replaced with LED bulbs.

Addressing the media, he said, “The State Government has taken a historic step to implement LED lights in all 112 cities of the state by 2018. In the last three years 2146kmsof road has been facilitated with lights and 85,000 conventional bulb has been converted to LED whereas 1,10,000 lights will be converted completely in this year.”

The Minister also laid emphasis on Hybrid Toilets, which has been initiated intwo cities of the State and has signed MoU withSulabha International.

“So far, 100 toilet seats havebeen completed and rest 800 toilet seats will be completed soon.60,000 dwelling houses have been constructed so far in current fiscal year and the objective is to construct another 2,00,000 in next two years,” he added.

To bring the transparency and clarity among law breakers in Real Estate sector and to punish them,Odisha Real Estate Rules 2017 has been implemented, he further added.
