9 Arrested In Gambling Raid In Balangir

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police arrested nine individuals on Sunday for their alleged involvement in illegal gambling at Kumuda Pahad (hill) under Titlagarh police limits in Balangir district.

The operation was spearheaded by Biswajit Manbodh, Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Titlagarh Police Station.

According to reports, the Titlagarh police acted on a tip-off about the gambling activities. Upon reaching the site, many of the gamblers attempted to flee, but the police successfully apprehended nine individuals.

During the raid, police seized a total of Rs 82,500 in cash, along with two motorcycles and six mobile phones.

The arrested individuals are set to be produced in court today, said Titlagarh Police.
