9 Places In Odisha Record 40 Degrees & Above Temperatures

Bhubaneswar: Nine places in Odisha recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and above today, according to India Meteorological Department’s (IMD’s) evening weather bulletin.

Sonepur town in western Odisha remained the hottest place by recording a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, the bulletin said.

While Jharsuguda and Sundargarh recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius each, Malkangiri recorded 40.5, Talcher 40.3, Bhawanipatna 40.2, Boudh 40.8, Bolangir 41.3, Titilagarh 41.5, and Sonepur 42, the bulletin added.

Bhubaneswar-the capital city remained comparatively cooler at 36.4 degrees Celsius, the bulletin said.
