9 Tata Steel Workers Injured In Accident At Kalinganagar Plant

Bhubaneswar: Nine workers of Tata Steel Kalinganagar were injured in an accident at the Steel Melting Shop of the plant in Jajpur on Friday.

All the injured workers were immediately admitted to the Tata Steel Medical Hospital at Kalinganagar for treatment. One of the injured was already discharged after receiving first aid, a communiqué issued by the plant stated.

The other injured workers, who are under treatment, are now out of danger, it added.

The incident has been intimated to the concerned authorities and the family members of the injured persons. The plant authorities have launched an internal investigation with barricading the accident site.
