Bhubaneswar: Over 92 lakh women have applied for the benefits under the Subhadra Yojana and the state government has already disbursed the first installment of the scheme to 25.11 lakh beneficiaries, said Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida talking to the media on Wednesday.
Parida further said that so far women who have applied for the scheme but are yet to get the first installment will receive it soon.
“So far, 92 lakh women have registered for Subhadra Yojana and the number is expected to reach 1 crore by this weekend,” the Deputy Chief Minister added.
“Beneficiaries, who are yet to receive the first installment, need not worry as the amount will be credited to their bank accounts by March 8. The transfer is being done through online mode and hence it is taking time. However, all the beneficiaries will get the second installment on the International Women’s Day on March 8,” Parida added.
The four slabs of Subhadra Yojana will be finalised soon and all the beneficiaries will get the assistance. Apart from than the taxpayers, all are eligible for the monetary assistance, Parida concluded.
