Bhadrak: A talented young student drowned to death while swimming in a pond in Bandhagaon under Charampa police limits today.
The tragedy occurred a day after the youth’s matric result was declared in which he scored 86.5 per cent marks.
The deceased, Chandan Mahapatra was staying in his uncle’s home. He was a student of Bandhagaon Nodal High School.
Today morning Chandan had gone to the village pond for taking a bath. He suddenly drowned while swimming in the pond.
A pall of gloom descended on the village following the death of this talented young boy, a day after the family was in glee for his matric results.
