Bhubaneswar: The Aahaar Society has decided to operate the Aahaar Kendras in or near hospitals in the state on Sundays also.
Earlier, it was decided to shut down the Ahaar Kendras on Sundays for maintenance purposes but now maintenance would be done after closing the service of meals in the Aahaar Kendras.
According to a notification issued by Sarada Prasad Panda, OSD Aahaar, numerous requests have been coming from many quarters to open Aahar Kenras in or near hospitals on Sundays to facilitate the patients and attendants to get food at affordable prince in the vicinity of the hospitals. “Considering the difficulties of the patients and attendants coming to the hospitals, it is decided to keep the Aahaar Kendras open in or near hospitals on Sundays.”
All Aahaar implementing partners and other stakeholders have been informed about the decision.
