Bhubaneswar: The State government today appointed Abanikanta Sahoo as Chairperson of the Odisha State Food Commission.
“In pursuance of section-16 of National Food Security Act, 2013, read with Rules-3, 4, and 5 of Odisha State Food Commission Rules 2016, the Government on the recommendation of the Search Committee constituted for the purpose, do hereby appoint Sri Abanikanta Sahoo as Chairperson of the Odisha State Food Commission,” a notification issued by the Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department reads.
The appointment will come into effect from the date the Chairperson actually assumes Charge of Office, the notification added.
